A 'higher price' label means this car is priced more expensively than other cars of a similar type in the UK right now. In other words, this is a higher price for this car's age and mileage, but it may have extra benefits or features that increase its value.
How do we work it out?
We use data from millions of vehicles to work out a car's current market price. This includes things like:
- Make
- Model
- Age
- Fuel type
- Optional extras and features
There are other things that are not included in how we work out our price labels, but these might affect the seller's price:
- The car's condition
- The car's colour
- Supply and demand in the local area
- Special modifications (like a spoiler or body kit)
- Extra services (like warranties and finance deals)
- The number of previous owners
- The car's service history
