A Category A marker applies to a vehicle when the vehicle has been in an accident. The vehicle is considered to be unsuitable for or beyond repair. This may mean that the vehicle has been marked for flood damage after being submerged.
The vehicle will be classed as waste, crushed in its entirety. Nothing can be removed for spare parts. In this circumstance the VIN can never be used again, and the V5C will never be reissued. The vehicle will be issued with a certificate of its destruction.
We do not allow vehicles marked as Category A write-offs to be advertised on Auto Trader.
