Car, bike, motorhome or caravan
You can't add VAT to your vehicle's price under the car, bike, motorhome or caravan sections of the website. This applies to both private and trade sellers.
When an item is listed for sale, it must clearly state the complete sale price. If VAT is being charged, it must be included in the sale price.
Vans or commercial vehicles
You can select the VAT status when listing a van or commercial vehicle.
To do this, you must select your VAT status when creating your advert.
- You'll see this when you input your selling price.
- It'll appear under 'VAT status' and you'll have three options:
- 'No VAT'
- 'Plus VAT'
- 'Including VAT'
