We don't show private sellers' addresses. If your address is showing, it will be a trade advert. This could be because:
- You've placed the advert as trade by mistake
- We believe you may be a trade seller
We'll need to verify that you're the registered keeper. Please send us the following documentation to customersecurity@autotrader.co.uk:
- A copy of the V5C document
- A photo of your driver's license
What happens next?
Once you've given us the above information, our team will review and get back to you with an update as soon as possible.
Any changes that are made to your account will not be permanent, so you could be flagged as a trader again in the future. If this happens, you'll need to follow the same process.
Good to know: We can't tell you the checks that flagged you as a trade seller, these have to remain confidential. But, we can let you know it's not just based on the volume of vehicles you sell.
