Before you start
- This integration guide applies to all VW Group integrations, including;
- Volkswagen
- Audi
- Seat
- Skoda
- Cupra
- Porsche
- Bentley
- Lamborghini
- Blue Label
- Only private individual customer applications are allowed; the lender does not support business applications
- The lender accepts outstanding finance; however negative equity is not allowed
- Please ensure the Margin Scheme or VAT rate fields are correct when entering vehicle information, as these will be sent to the lender.
- Applications must be submitted manually in AutoConvert. This is because there are questions that require manual answers before sending.
How to send an application manually
Select ' send to lender ' in the top right corner of an application.
- A quote will only show once any outstanding criteria have been met
- If a quote can't be shown because it needs more information, a collapsible section will appear next to the name of the lender in the 'Lenders' section of the application
- Selecting the text or the plus symbol on the right-hand side will open a list of links to the missing information
- When you select a link, a window will appear where you can fill in the missing information
- Once the missing information has been filled in, the link will disappear from the list
Value-added products
- VW will only allow certain products or accessories to be input via AutoConvert
- If a product is on their non-funded list, you won't be able to submit the application
- The products or accessories listed in this table are the category name as they appear in AutoConvert. You can name the product whatever you wish; the mapping of the product is based on the product category

Lender questions
- There is a series of lender questions that need to be answered.
- All questions must be answered to proceed
- For question 3, which relates to the Volkswagen Financial Services privacy policy, there is a 'Privacy Policy' button next to the drop-down answer box. This will take you to their full privacy policy.
- Selecting 'Lender Questions' on the right side will take you back to the questions, where you'll be able to amend the answers
Quoting via the send to lender modal
- If the application meets all the criteria and all the lender questions are answered, a quote will be displayed.
- If a quote isn't possible, it may be due to the information you've input. Reviewing figures like the ones below can help:
- Term based on the age of the vehicle
- Annual mileage restrictions
- Total deposit contributions
- Exceeding limit
- Campaign-related dealer or lender contributions will be handled automatically and you don't need to populate the 'Dealer deposit FDA)' section. If you enter a figure into this section manually, it will be ignored and replaced with the value returned in the quote.
- Selecting the (i) icon next to the payment in the 'Lenders' section will open the 'Lender Tier Finance Schedule Derivation' section. Here you'll see a full breakdown of quoted figures, including any campaign-based dealer and lender contributions.
- The rate of the quote may change as it depends on the figures entered
- The balance to finance may be different from the figure initially input on the 'Send to lender' section because of campaign-based dealer or lender contributions
Sending to lender
- Once an application meets the lender's criteria, you can send it. The 'Send' button will appear on the left-hand side of the 'Lenders' section, next to the lender's name. Once sent, the button will change to show 'sent'.
- Payments shown are calculated based on the rate selected during the application
- In the Activity feed section of the application overview page, the sent status will display as 'pending verification' until a decision is made. The decision is not instant and may take a few moments to come through
- The finance application will return with approval, decline, filter or error
Check Status
- If the application is in 'pending verification' for a while, you can select 'Verify' next to 'Actions' in the 'Sent to Lender' section on the activity feed to manually verify it by completing a 'check status'
- Selecting 'Check Status' in the Lender response section of the main application view will manually call to the lender to check for a status update. The automatic checks for updates will also still run.
- The latest status will be updated in the 'Sent to lender' section next to 'Status' and will show any information you need to act upon to continue the application
Response
- The lender will respond with statuses that will show with timestamps within the response section
- The first set of statuses will be underwriting-related.
- The second set of statuses will relate to the final decision of 'Approved' or 'Declined.
- Finally, the status will move into 'Finalised'
- The lender will only offer an approval based on the figures initially quoted
- The figures under 'Finance details' in the 'Response' section will be the same figures that were originally applied for and have been approved
Lender approval information
- When a lender approval is created, you can see a full breakdown of what has been approved in the 'Approvals' section on the application or by selecting 'View' next to 'Approval' in the 'Sent to Lender' section of the activity feed.
- You can only manually edit the approval via the 'Approvals' section.
- Any dealer or lender contributions approved are shown in the approval
Managing the rest of the application
- If you were to navigate to the 'send to lender' modal, VWFS will show 'approved' with a timestamp of the approval date and the 'send' icon remains
- You shouldn't select 'Send' again because a duplicate application will be sent to VWFS, which will incur another hard credit check
- The rest of the application should now be completed via VWFS Connect Online (COL) platform which includes any amendments to the application e.g changes to settlements, cash deposit figures etc and then resubmit. Do not use AutoConvert
- You can manually create and update any further approvals in AutoConvert as you wish
- You can record a conversion in AutoConvert once the application has been paid out to
- A conversion will use the populated contributions in the selected acceptance
Any support requirements or errors that cannot be navigated, please raise a ticket with AutoConvert support or by emailing support@autoconvert.co.uk
