In July, we're making changes to improve the mileage data included in full vehicle checks.
Adding MOT mileage data to check for mileage discrepancies
The existing vehicle check uses multiple mileage data sources to check for mileage discrepancies. MOT mileage observations have not been used previously to check for mileage discrepancies.
From 9th July, this data, along with the existing data from the DVLA and BVLRA, will be included in the mileage discrepancy check and the historic mileage recordings.
Removing Epyx data from mileage checks
From the 9th July, Epyx data will be removed from the existing mileage data. This is because MOT mileage data has a higher number of mileage observations. This means the mileage check will include data of a higher quality.
Improving the Portal experience for presenting mileage data
To make it easier to read the mileage readings and discrepancies in Portal, we'll be replacing the data tables with graphs.
