These instructions are just for the document portal. The user will need the following permission to send requests:
- Allow list: Can add document requests
You'll be able to send a link to your customer where they can upload documents, such as:
- Bank statement
- Proof of address
- Photo identification
Adding a logo to brand your portal
You can personalise your portal with your company's logo.
To add your logo:
- Go to 'Settings'
- Then 'Documents'
- Then 'Preferences'
- In the 'Customer portal logo' section, select 'browse' to upload your image. You'll need to have the image stored on your computer.
- Select 'Save'
Good to know: We recommend a rectangular logo where possible. For example, one that is wider than it is tall. Your logo shouldn't be taller than 100px.
Setting templated requests SMS/Email
If you want to set a pre-made template when requesting documents from a customer:
- Go to 'Settings'
- Then 'Documents'
- Then 'Preferences'
- Use the drop-down menus to select your template for SMS and email
- Select 'Save'

Requesting the documents
- Search for the application you want to request documents for
- Make sure in the right application
- Scroll down to 'Documents' and select 'options', then 'Request document'
- A pop-up will appear
- From the drop-down down select which document is needed. Repeat this step for all the ones you want to request.
- To send this to the customer select 'Options', then 'Send requests'
- Tick the boxes as needed to send the request as an SMS or email
Good to know: The templates selected in preferences will be sent with a link connecting the customer to the portal. Once the customer uploads the document, if you have it set up, it will create a task for your users to action.
If you want to send a custom SMS to request the documents:
- Select SMS at the top of the application window
- Type your message into the text box
- Use the replacement token called 'Customer portal URL' to add the link into your message
- Once you're happy with the message, select 'Send'
If you want to send a custom email:
- Select 'Email' at the top of the application window
- Add an email title into the 'Subject' field
- Add your message into the 'Body'
- Use the body replacement token called 'Customer portal URL' to add the link to your message
- Once you're happy with the message, select 'Send'
