AutoConvert allows you to assign applications automatically as they come in. Each user must have the relevant permissions selected based on your custom roles.
Application assignment
- Go to 'Settings' on the left-hand menu
- Select 'Application'
- Select 'Assignment'
- You can select how you want new applications to be assigned
- Select 'save'
Assignment rules
You can choose from several assignment rules:
Rule |
What it means? |
| 'Only assign to online users. A user is classed as online if they have been active within the last 10 minutes.' | Only users who are active and working will be assigned applications. This makes sure that applications are dealt with quickly. This option must be used with the strategy drop down menu. |
| 'When a user opens an unassigned application, automatically assign them to it' | As soon as a user selects an unassigned application, it will automatically be assigned to them. This does not need to be used with automations. |
| 'When a user manually creates an application automatically assign them to it' | When a user manually creates an application it will be automatically assigned to them. This does not need to be used with automations. |
Strategy
Strategies should be combined with the 'Assigned categories' and 'Assigned sources' on the 'Users' section.
To access the 'Users' section, you should;
- Select 'Settings' in the left-hand menu
- Select 'Account'
- Select 'Users'
- Select a user
- The 'Edit user' window will appear
- On the right-hand side of this box, you'll see 'Assigned categories' and 'Assigned sources'
- Setting these alongside the strategy will mean users will only be assigned applications that meet these requirements
The 'Application assignment' page offers four strategy choices:

| 'Any user can be assigned to any application' | This is the default |
| 'User must have matching category' | For applications to be automatically assigned, the 'Assigned categories' set in the 'User' screen must be populated and must match the category on the application |
| 'User must have matching application source' | For applications to be automatically assigned, the 'Application source' set in the 'User' screen must be populated and must match the source on the application |
| 'User must have matching category and application sources' | For applications to be automatically assigned, the 'Assigned categories' and 'Application source' set in the 'User' screen must be populated and must match the category and source on the application |
Make sure you save the configured assignment rules.
Once configured, applications will be automatically assigned based on the selected rules and strategies.
