By default, any IP address can access AutoConvert. However, if you add a whitelist, this will limit who can access your system to only those approved IP addresses.
What you’ll need to have:
- Your users need to access the system via a fixed IP address
- If you have sub-accounts, this needs to be done at the master level
- Your account will need to have the 'Can manage IP address whitelist' and 'Can access system without IP address check' permissions
How to add a role to the whitelist without an IP check:
- Head to ‘Settings’
- Then choose ‘Account’
- Then select ‘Custom roles’
- Select ‘Update’ next to the role you would like to edit
- Head to the ‘Allow permissions’ area and enable the switch ‘Can access system without IP address check’
- All users with that custom role will be able to log into the system from any location
How to add an IP to the whitelist:
- Head to ‘Settings’
- Then choose ‘Account’
- Then select 'IP address whitelist'
- Select 'Add' in the top right
- Add the IP address you want to whitelist into the 'Address' field
- Add a description for the IP address
- Select 'Save changes'
- All users will be able to log into the system if they're connecting via that IP address
- You can add more IP addresses if you have multiple locations
