An export marker on a vehicle means that it has been registered in the UK, but at some point, it has left the country. This may include it being shipped to the Channel Islands (Jersey and Guernsey), Isle of Man, or Ireland.
If a vehicle has been exported from the UK, we can't provide information for the time that it was out of the country.
What should I do if this shows on my Vehicle Check report?
The current advice from the DVLA is to contact them before buying an exported vehicle. As a general rule, you shouldn't buy a vehicle that has been exported.
This is because exported vehicles are more likely to have been stolen or 'cloned'. You would also not be able to insure the vehicle.
