We have a database of UK postcodes which gets updated regularly. This lets us calculate search distances.
When you're creating an advert, you may come across issues in entering your postcode if:
- You live in a new build property and the postcode isn't on our system yet
- The postcode isn't in the UK
If this is the case, you'll see a red error message saying 'Enter a valid UK postcode'.
How to fix this
- If you live in a new build, we'd advise that you choose another postcode close by. As a private seller, we don't show your exact location on the advert, so this will be fine.
- We can't post an advert without a valid UK postcode. If you live outside the UK, you'll need to use the postcode of the person selling your car in the UK.
